Yoga

Yoga

Yoga is for everyone. Before I teach a class or a private client, I remind them that Yoga is about touching one’s heart and not one’s toes. Yoga’s relaxation techniques can help suppress areas of the brain that are responsible for fear, aggression, and rage. At the same time, yoga can stimulate pleasure centers in the brain, which can lead to a state of relaxation and bliss. *Concentrating on the breath and postures during yoga can act as a form of meditation. *Yoga can help with balance and flexibility. It can also help with chronic pain, arthritis, back pain, cardiovascular health and blood pressure. *Yoga can help relieve anxiety, stress and depression. It can also improve sleep patterns and mood, and increase feelings of happiness and well-being. Yoga can also help people with eating disorders and improve body image. Yes, Yoga is for everyone.

Fitness

A healthy body requires a mix of regular exercise, proper nutrition, quality of sleep and mindfulness. A healthy body sets the stage for your day to day well being. Maintaining a healthy body is the best way to have an active and full life.
Exercise improves your muscle strength and will boost your endurance. Exercise delivers oxygen and nutrients to your tissues and helps your cardiovascular system work more efficiently. When your heart and lung health improves, you have more energy to tackle chores.
Exercise can improve your health and reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes. Exercise can have immediate and long term health benefits, but most importantly regular exercise can improve the quality of your life.
Every session I train my clients, I believe in working your core, balance, muscular strength and flexibility. I will create a fitness plan that incorporates each of these elements to ensure that your body will feel its very best.
